Very structured and interestingly built. Comprehensive and challenging.
With the very detailed materials, you gain a high level of expertise around dyslexia and dyscalculia. The wealth of training resources makes the practical work easier. Students respond very well to the method because it doesn't just focus on symptom-level work — attention and function training are also addressed, which creates better conditions for practice.
The program offers an outstanding structure of topics and prepared me well for practice.
The training is absolutely recommendable!
Very good structure, understandable, easy to follow. Recommendable any time!!!
While searching for a dyslexia trainer distance program, positive feedback from a colleague pointed me to the ADA, and I first requested an info pack. The information I received convinced me and made my decision easy. Through the comprehensive, very well-explained material you gain detailed knowledge on dyslexia and many work suggestions. The topic of 'error analysis' and the AFS method are explained really well. Because you have to create many worksheets yourself — drawing inspiration from the suggested material collection — new ideas emerge. Many source references invite you to browse further and deepen the topic.
The program is structured. The specialist books describe the essentials very well. Professional accompaniment during the program is provided.
As an active certified dyslexia trainer, I'm always keen to keep learning, and I do so through many channels. So I can judge the quality of continuing-education offerings well, and my big praise here goes to the ADA, whose website has wonderful free continuing-education options. I can highly recommend these to all certified dyslexia trainers. Since they're distance courses, the material can be worked through one or several times in peace before answering the questions, and you can always pick the materials back up to reread or build a reference binder, since all materials are of course available as print versions too. Happy New Year, and here's to continued good collaboration.
The materials are extensive; the support is competent and friendly.
The modules are clearly and accessibly structured. The theoretical part is manageable, and navigation on the internet platform is simple and easy to understand. Overall, the program is very well organized. The practical part is extensive and takes up most of the time, but you can draw from a huge pool — the offering is enormous and you build on a great foundation. A great program — made for practice.
The training paints a very comprehensive picture of dyslexia and dyscalculia. The practical guide is especially welcome — it enables even beginners to deliver a quality session with someone affected.
I was very satisfied with the phone support during my program. Questions were answered promptly. I really liked the working materials I was provided. The content was clearly presented. The check questions were also clearly worded. After the program, I opened my own support practice in 2012 and manage my work very well with the knowledge I gained. The children make good progress. We've been able to release many of them from training with great success. I can only recommend the program.
It was a lot of fun and is a very informative, interesting course.
I can recommend this program to anyone who wants to engage more deeply with dyslexia/dyscalculia. You get a lot of support during the course and afterward. For me it was important to be able to schedule my own time and not have to travel constantly. By now I have good results with 'my' children and have managed to clear up quite a few prejudices among colleagues and friends. And I keep learning more all the time!
Uncomplicated and excellently organized.
Thorough, helpful, supportive (in everyday work), well organized, logically built.
The certification as a certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer opened up new paths for me as a special-needs educator to support and accompany people with learning difficulties in a more targeted, competent way. Even after the program ends — when qualified, paid training sessions begin — reliable contacts are available for questions. The training materials are practically inexhaustible and are very well received by children and teens.
I was extremely satisfied with my dyslexia trainer program and have now been an enthusiastic subscriber to the ABO Pro package for years.
I had already engaged with the topic of dyslexia in my bachelor's thesis in educational science. The program gave me more confidence, especially in the practical work, in dealing with people affected — including in the training with my own daughter, who has dyslexia.
Hi, I completed the program five years ago through the ADA and have been gladly working with it in my small learning practice ever since. The program is systematically built and the materials are easy to understand. I use the AFS test very gladly because it clearly shows the individual state of the child's perceptual abilities. The test evaluation is displayed nicely as a bar and column chart, so you can explain the results to parents in an understandable way. The training book can be put together individually and easily, and my kids always look forward to it. There are countless worksheets that come in handy in practice. The selection of blank templates makes correspondence easier, and you can even print business-card templates. I can recommend this program with a clean conscience.
