Dyslexia distance program

I was very satisfied with the program and the support from your side. You can — and have to — work very independently. For the practical part, my teacher training helped me a lot. But if you have questions, they're answered immediately by the association. Fundamentally, everything was positive.

Recommended — pedagogically valuable — solution-oriented

I could work with very well-structured study material that gave me answers to all the questions that had come up in my daily work, plus many outstanding impulses and pointers for implementation. The collaboration and support were top-notch. The program is certified and recognized. That made it possible for me to give my professional career a new direction. The program fulfilled all my requirements and wishes — it's highly recommended!!!!!

Relaxed learning in a self-directed atmosphere

I found the certification as a certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer very pleasant. I could organize my learning load myself. So I had no stress and was self-directed about what I read and learned, and when. This independent learning and informal form of continuing education suits me very well. I found the materials very well prepared, clear, structured, and practice-oriented. The book recommendations are also very helpful and sensible. It was reassuring to have a dedicated support person I could contact for any questions. What I liked best is that I received content at the latest scientific level (and not outdated know-how). In my work with (mainly) children — but also in encounters with 'conventional' learning supporters — I see how important it was for me to be taught that, above all, training the sensory perceptions makes sense, and not (as is unfortunately still widespread) practicing only on the symptom level. I can only recommend this training from the ADA, among others, since it made me aware of content I REALLY can use in my work.

Dyslexia trainer

Three years ago I started my certified dyslexia trainer program, but because of surgery and the recovery time that followed, I had to pause for over a year. That was no problem for the ADA, and from Austria I received full support and understanding. The teaching material was outstandingly structured, very informative in content, and clearly worded. It was also kept up to date and supported by newsletters. It's great that it's available both on paper and as a PDF. It was a real pleasure to read the suggested literature and work with the materials mentioned. It's also remarkable that the AFS method allows for all other suitable materials as well as self-created worksheets. Designing my own worksheets is, for me personally, a wonderful thing. Uploading all the materials and the exam parts for the individual modules always worked smoothly. I like that there's a choice between multiple-choice questions and free-text answers. That gives students room to express their individuality. The homework assignments / documentation of the practice sessions were my favorite, because the things I'd learned could be applied and deepened right away. The support I received throughout my entire study period from the back office was outstanding. Every question was answered immediately, and phone inquiries were also met with great courtesy and helpfulness. All in all, a great organization and a high-quality program. Thank you for that.

Distance learning for dyslexia and dyscalculia trainers

The two programs are very well structured and the content is well aligned. They make it possible to get deeply familiar with the topic and offer excellent guidance for delving even deeper into the various aspects of dyslexia and dyscalculia. The integrated practical hours are an enormously important enrichment of the whole — you can quickly see from the reactions of the children involved how important and rewarding the work in these areas is. Overall, this is a field in which you can never learn enough and where you must always remain open to new methods, insights, and continuing education — just as you continually face new challenges from the children involved. No child is like another, and each one brings their own personal story and development. It's wonderful that there are so many additional further trainings available through the ADA!

Distance certification as a dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer

Thanks to the way the certificate is structured, a well-thought-out balance between theory and practice has been achieved. At the same time, the individual support of the children is at the forefront and is guaranteed by a wide variety of methods and materials. The service is outstanding, as is the responsiveness of the organizers.

Thank you

I found the program itself very good and can highly recommend it. One possible suggestion for improvement: occasionally check in during the course to see if help is needed. Many heartfelt thanks ;-)

very good

The working materials were very well prepared, so that without much follow-up I was able to complete all the submitted tests and the practical part independently. Thank you for the excellently prepared material both for the certificate preparation and now for daily work.

Work is fun!

The distance course to become a dyslexia trainer was easy for me, because the friendly advisors were always available by email to clear up any uncertainties. I managed it while doing two other programs at the same time. Right now this training is giving me a great opportunity to practice my dream job.

Made it!

I did both dyslexia and dyscalculia. After receiving the really extensive materials, I dove right in. The more you read in the materials, the more you want to know. Honestly! I think the materials are clear, comprehensive, explanatory, and interestingly organized. Many thanks!

Training as a dyslexia trainer

I really enjoyed doing this training. The working material was very clear and easy to understand. The questions for each module assignment were easy to follow. They were a good way to deepen what I had already learned. What I particularly liked was that I had so much freedom in shaping and preparing the practical part. My training children came from a special-needs school for learning, with behaviorally challenging and learning-disabled children. Parent meetings were not possible either, because while the parents gladly agreed that I could work with their children, they were not in a position to engage in further conversation due to their precarious situation. Whenever I had questions or anything was unclear, I was always advised in a friendly and helpful way. I can only recommend this training to everyone!
