The program itself was very well structured. You get several modules that you work through in order. Thanks to the structure, it's easy and clearly understandable. The required reading is also a good support, especially when starting out in this field. The test questions for the theoretical part are well organized and can be worked through perfectly. The practical part brings a lot of experience and reinforces what you've learned on a different level.
the afs method is very open and allows the combination of several different, complementary training methods. in my daily work as a dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer i can always respond individually to each client; there are no rigid, pre-set lesson plans (as with some other training methods). every day, every training session is different — and that's appealing not just to the children and teens but also to me, the trainer!
I really liked the program. It explains precisely what dyslexia/dyscalculia is, where it comes from, what you can do to help those affected. And the work with the children is so much fun. The program prepares you excellently for the work that follows.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much information and knowledge I picked up through this program. Stress-free and pleasant as a way to keep learning.

It was a very, very nice experience — both of these distance programs. I always got support when I had questions, and for my work — I'm an educator in after-school care — the program and the learning content brought a lot. Teachers often don't have this knowledge and tend to put children into drawers like ADHD or assume the children are 'too dumb' — which isn't true. I've had to make these experiences all these years. A great program, lots of practical experience, and lots of working material for the training children. On top of that, there are constant workshops you can take to stay up to date. For me, an excellent distance program ;-)
To better support my students with math difficulties, I completed the dyscalculia trainer program. It gave me a lot of background information and a noticeably better way of working with students who struggle with math.
The materials for the program are very well structured and easy to understand. Having a personal contact for any kind of question was something I really liked. The description of the practical exam was confusing at first — perhaps that could be described a bit more clearly. Otherwise, the program was fun, although I had a bit of trouble with the worksheets for the practical exam since one or two things weren't entirely clear to me. I'd do the ADA training again at any time and recommend the school to others.
I completed both trainings (dyslexia trainer and dyscalculia trainer) and was very satisfied both with the textbooks and with the strong practical focus. I'd do the training again any time and can only recommend it.

I found the dyslexia trainer training extremely good and practice-relevant — 5 stars. For the dyscalculia trainer training I'd give 4 stars, because I find there are too few helpful ideas for the practical part.
With this program I was able to fulfill a long-held wish. It integrated wonderfully into my everyday life and was very well structured. The support was also helpful whenever it was needed.
The distance program is recommendable and uncomplicated.
This training is great for picking up additional knowledge in areas that may not be covered, or only barely covered, in your initial education. Dyslexia and dyscalculia in particular are topics every educator should know about!
As an educator with lots of professional experience, I find the topic especially exciting once again. I'm satisfied with the course materials, can warmly recommend the suggested methods, and was thrilled with how quickly my submitted work was processed. The friendly feedback I received also encouraged me to keep going just like this. I've now signed up for the alumni subscription for a year. I felt very comfortable throughout the entire study period. Little things (like a small bag of gummy bears in the literature package at the start) are really motivating. When I had questions, they were answered by email within two hours at the latest. Thanks for the great support!
For me it was simply nice to be able to do everything from home and, given my family situation (3 family members needing care), not have to go anywhere else ;-)) I can only recommend this program.
