Satisfaction survey about the certificate program
When I did the program, I was completely satisfied. Whenever something was unclear, I got the information I needed by email or phone. I was happy with everything and would do it again.

I did both diploma courses in parallel. They really demand a lot from you. Some questions are worded a bit ambiguously, but in the end I'm incredibly grateful and glad that the level is set so high. It helps me enormously in my work with children. I really appreciate how reachable the team in Klagenfurt is and the friendly willingness to answer every question as fast as possible. I felt very well taken care of and can wholeheartedly recommend this training. All the best!
The program gave me a family-friendly way to return to working life. The many continuing education options also keep raising my awareness in this very broad field of knowledge.
It's a really good and interesting program. And it's affordable. As a certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer I was able to go self-employed, and I keep seeing how many people we can help. The course also helped me understand myself better. I don't have problems reading, writing, or doing math, but my brain is highly dyslexic. Under stress I flip numbers around, write words completely backwards — the list is long. Of course, I passed my dyslexia/dyscalculia on to my children in classic fashion. With my own experience I can help others understand themselves too.
Fantastic training! What you learn translates beautifully into practice.
The study materials are very informative and ready for practical use. The PC programs turn out to be absolutely useful in everyday training. The guidance you get throughout the program is friendly, easygoing, and student-centered. All in all, a great and very useful all-in-one package! One idea and request: I love the Mathe Plus program! Could you make a version for the 0–100 number range? Round tens, fives and more? That would be a hit! Thanks for everything, dear ADA team — keep up the great work!
I completed this program a few years ago and was very happy with the teaching materials, the support, and the phone consultations whenever I had questions. The team is competent and friendly. Being able to organize my own time was ideal for me, since I could combine the studies perfectly with my existing self-employment. By now I'm doing my continuing education through the same distance format too. The topics are always interesting and the lessons are manageable in size. Thank you to the whole team. I'm proud to belong to the ADA's certified dyslexia trainers and to keep being so well supported by them.
Training: lots of varied teaching material, your own schedule. The exam was easy to manage. Practical work: the test is simple to run. The kids really enjoy doing it. They don't feel any performance pressure — the tasks feel inviting in a positive way. Evaluation is just a few clicks away and gives you a thorough picture of the deficits. The Training Center is a bottomless treasure trove of varied practice material.
This was one of my best courses. Clearly laid out, easy-to-understand material, super friendly contact, and the exam was achievable too. Would do it again any time...
I was extremely satisfied with my training with you.
The materials are comprehensive. Still, I'd recommend going even deeper on your own.
The materials were easy to work through. The questions on the individual exams were demanding. I would have liked to be able to see the questions I got wrong, corrected, for my own review.
Students are guided well through the program. The content is explained well and easy to follow. You get lots of help and lots of practice material. Outstanding!
Since 2013 I've been a certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer. I learned so much in the ADA program. It's very thorough and well explained. For me, the standout is the AFS method — it isn't rigid, so you can find suitable support for every child. I also keep benefiting from the ongoing support of the ADA after graduation. I happily use the professional development options and the AFS test program. By now I run my own small practice and am self-employed. I love working with my training kids. We've already celebrated small and bigger wins together. Unfortunately it's often hard to get teachers on board for the support these kids need. Frequent misunderstandings and time pressure make life unnecessarily harder for the students. But through motivation, by pointing out successes, and through many kind conversations, we keep getting closer to the goal. I would choose this path again in a heartbeat and can highly recommend the ADA's dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer course.
Lots of good materials. Understandable tests. I like that you have to document plenty of practice hours.
The training and the support during it are very good. Afterwards, a lot of continuing education is available. Unfortunately (especially in Germany) the trainers aren't well represented by the association and are often left alone with legal issues. A pity. The work is so important and helpful for the children.
The advantage of distance learning is how short the training is. The topic itself is important, and thanks to the many students society is becoming more aware and, thankfully, more considerate. What I find lacking are the prerequisites for this program, because literally anyone can take it — I've met enough graduates at the professional conferences who have no pedagogical training or background, mostly mothers from all sorts of professional backgrounds who do the training for their own children. Notes I sent in about errors in the required reading were also not really addressed. They were "acknowledged" but presumably nobody actually engaged with them. Because of that, but also because of various mistakes (not only typos) in the AFS test, in the distance learning support, etc., a "very good" feels out of reach for me on professional quality. So all things considered, I'm giving it a "good"!
The program really moved me forward in my work as a special-needs educator. All materials were very well chosen and clearly written. The online assessments were easy to follow and well timed.
I did the dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer training in 2014. The materials were well structured and easy to understand. Questions were answered quickly. I especially like the material for diagnostics and training with the kids. With my subscription I still benefit today and keep enjoying my work — I've had my own small practice since September 2014. Also a plus: the openness toward other materials. You can fold them in without any issue. So far my credentials have been recognized everywhere — recommendable through and through. That said, a bit of "prior education" definitely helps and makes things easier.
Both the support and the materials for the certificate are excellent and are enough to pass the exams comfortably. For follow-up questions that came up while working with kids, I always got a very quick answer either online or by email. The professional conference held once a year in Salzburg is something I can warmly recommend to anyone — you meet fellow trainers, swap experiences, try out and buy the newest teaching materials, and most importantly you learn new things and hear about the latest research. The post-graduation support is also excellent: as a member you stay in touch with colleagues, get ongoing information about current topics, and have online support through the AFS test, evaluations, materials and more. So you don't get dropped after the program like with other courses.
