I can warmly recommend this training. You feel well taken care of and never left on your own.
The training is very well and clearly structured. The given timeframe lets you study and practice without pressure, and you can fit it nicely into everyday life. Contact with your mentor is quick and helpful. I felt very well supported.
I finished the program 2 years ago. It was worth it. I learned a lot and can apply much of it in my new career. As an orthoptist in my main job, I now spot perceptual issues much better than before. I can advise the parents accordingly and carry out the appropriate measures myself. The work with the kids as a certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer brings me so much joy.
I was really pleased. The materials were detailed and easy to understand. Every question I had got a quick and accurate answer.
I really enjoyed the program. I could schedule my own time, which was very important to me because often I only had a chance to study in the evening.
With perfectly prepared materials and countless links and examples, you receive so much content and background knowledge that you're really equipped for every dyslexic learner.
I'm genuinely satisfied with this program in every way. I didn't quite get a couple of topics and immediately got help. I would definitely recommend the program. Warm regards, Tanja
I'm very satisfied with the certificate program — the materials are very clear and well organized, which makes them ideal for distance learning. When you have questions, the customer center responds immediately. The program is very hands-on, and you can put theory into practice right away.
Hi, in my view the program is very well put together both in design and execution. I also find the support after graduation very positive, especially since in Germany people often don't distinguish much between reading/writing difficulties and dyslexia, which raises legal questions too. As I'm dyslexic myself, I have to say the well-founded scientific explanations also taught me a lot about myself, and I now understand why I run into limits in other areas — like music — that are very hard to overcome when perception isn't optimally developed. I can only recommend this program. Sabine Osthege
The program is clearly structured. Whenever something was still unclear, I could ask questions at any time. I can apply what I learned really well and always feel a wave of joy when I see my students benefit from it.
I successfully completed the certified dyslexia trainer and dyscalculia trainer course. The materials are very thorough and full of great suggestions. Just as positive: the contact with the team. Every question and request is handled quickly and without red tape. I'd come back to this provider any time!
I really enjoyed the program! I could schedule my time freely and quickly found students whom I was able to train successfully. When I needed help, I could ask my questions online and got prompt answers. The materials and the information in the customer center were and are very good and completely sufficient! The costs stayed within the announced range and are quite reasonable for a program of this kind. I regularly attended the professional conferences held annually in Salzburg — always instructive and informative for me. I always really enjoyed the exchange with other trainers! All in all, I can recommend this course to anyone interested, or to anyone who wants to broaden their work as a teacher! A big thank-you here to Dr. Astrid Kopp-Dullar and the entire ADA team!
Very precise guidelines, very clearly stated, with a good structure — help with any questions is always available. The exam sections are processed very quickly with fast feedback.
Informative and professional. The flexible study time was also really helpful.
I completed both the dyslexia and dyscalculia programs and am completely satisfied. I'd give the structure of the course, the materials, and the support 5 stars. The theory section made me feel well prepared to tackle the practical part. The program was demanding, especially alongside a full-time job, but also very interesting. By now — alongside my main job — I support 3 children (dyslexia and dyscalculia training) and have already achieved real progress. I especially like the continuing education options. They give me the chance to stay current and to look at the topic from many different angles.
I finished the training a few years ago, yet I still pick up the materials and books from time to time. By using AFS, I've already had so much success with my students.
Doing my certificate with ADA was the best decision. You're perfectly supported during the program and afterwards you still have personal advice and support whenever you need it.
I completed the continuing education to become a certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer two and three years ago, respectively. I especially loved the practical focus with so many examples and game ideas, plus the diagnostic tools that come with it. I chose distance learning because I could fit it perfectly into my daily work routine and would absolutely do it again.
The training is very practice-oriented and easy to do from home — if anything is unclear or you have a problem, you immediately get support from the team — so you're never alone — I can only recommend this training ;)
Granted, the study materials repeat themselves on some points... but on the other hand, repetition is the mother of all learning ;-) At first some things look more complicated than they actually are once you put them into practice. So: no fear and dive in! It's all written in an understandable way and you can build your own training framework from the various pointers. The AFS training method is wonderfully refreshing — it's fundamentally open, meaning you can fold in whatever you know from other areas (e.g. as a classroom teacher). With playful and creative elements from reform pedagogy you can liven up the sessions. With its three-step structure it brings enough variety into a training hour that so far no child has been bored because the same thing was repeated too often. After finishing the training you can advise, test/assess, and train on the topic at any time. What's fascinating is that you see results after only a short time and end up working with motivated kids and excited parents! For all these reasons — highly recommended, money well spent :-)
