Lots of useful knowledge — well explained
Through repetition and consistent reading comprehension, the program opens up to you. I came in with experience as a trained speech educator, so I could really benefit from the content and the many practical exercises. Throughout my studies I always found competent guidance and lots of practical tips. You come out well prepared for everyday work and can dive into the field with a bit of personal initiative. What I would have wished for: a practical weekend for exchange and going deeper.
Thank you for your feedback! For personal exchange, we would be very happy to see you at our annual professional conference. Attendance is free. The 23rd conference recently took place at the University of Salzburg. The recap is available at: www.fachtagung.com — the 24th conference is also being planned.
Warm regards,
Your Dyslexia Trainer Certificate Program Team
Recommendable
The materials are well structured, presenting the complex topic of dyslexia precisely and clearly. Working through the individual modules was a lot of fun and motivated me to finish this training quickly and successfully. The association offers valuable support during the program. Questions are answered promptly and thoroughly, and lots of useful information and worksheets are made available, which also come in handy in practice. The open and far-reaching AFS method has won me over in my hands-on work so far. Overall I'm very satisfied and look forward to more interesting continuing education with the ADA and to lively exchange with other trainers.
Easy-to-understand study materials
The program was easy for me thanks to the easy-to-understand materials. The available training materials and the computer-based test are also very helpful. The professional conference is highly recommendable.
VERY satisfied
Not much more to say, except: no regrets — the right tools for the job — top.
Dyslexia trainer
The dyslexia trainer program was very good. You got good support during the program whenever you had questions or problems. Lots of material and links on the topic were provided.
GREAT
Great organization! Great materials! Great support! Very professional and truly excellent! I would do the program again anytime. I'm thrilled!
Dyslexia certificate program
The materials are well-thought-out modules along with worksheets that are closely connected to practical work in service of people with dyslexia and can be put to use beautifully.
Solid training
A thoroughly solid program that also gives a lot of insight into related areas (ADHD etc.). A few small points of criticism: the books and scripts could really do with professional editing, since some passages were complicated, hard to understand, or clunky. Clearer language would definitely be a win. The reading/dictation exercises (e.g. exercise 004) in the book "Dyslexia in Adulthood" should partly be replaced by more engaging, modern texts.
Great method
The program is well structured and any question that comes up is answered promptly. The AFS method won me over because it doesn't just train calculation, it also trains the sensory perceptions. I'm glad I decided to do this program.
A very good course, recommendable for every teacher
During this program I learned a great deal — comprehensively and empathetically — about the causes, diagnosis, handling, and support of students with dyslexia. I wouldn't want to be without this knowledge, and I wish all dyslexic students that every teacher gained enough knowledge about it during their teacher training — which, sadly, isn't the case at least in Germany. So please, dear teachers, for your students' sake, do it voluntarily here at the ADA. The costs are reasonable for what's offered. During the program I always got quick, reliable, and competent support online or by phone. That's still the case after finishing. Plus, interesting continuing education options are offered regularly. The additional support material is, from my perspective as a teacher, still in places improvable, or could be better adapted to the European context.
Training to become a dyscalculia trainer
I did this follow-up program right after the dyslexia training and had no issues whatsoever — everything well structured, understandable, and interesting. Since I'm a working mother of 4 kids, the self-study format suited me very well because I wasn't tied to set days or times.
Dyslexia trainer / dyscalculia trainer certification
The program is clearly organized, easy to manage, and gives you enough knowledge to help kids with perception issues move forward. You get the sense that the latest scientific findings flow into the materials, so you have a good foundation to explain the phenomenon of dyslexia and dyscalculia to parents and teachers. Student support runs smoothly.
I'm thrilled!
Smooth process! Clearly organized and easy-to-understand preparation of all materials and information! Reliable all-around support for any question or concern! I can only recommend the training at this institute!
Qualified, scientifically grounded training
I'm very pleased with the organization, the execution, and the support during the program. As a working speech therapist and mother, a qualified, scientifically grounded training that fits into my professional and family life was very important to me! Your varied continuing education offerings, especially in dyscalculia, are also helpful. The demand for qualified specialists keeps growing, and even in the city there are often bottlenecks and sometimes long waiting times for those affected. Happily, at a continuing education event with the regional association in Hannover, I also met another trainer trained by the ADA. The contact with other trainers and the professional exchange are enriching. Continued success — and see you soon!
Dyscalculia trainer
Very structured guidance and good explanations.
Dyslexia trainer certificate program
With a bit of self-discipline and some prior experience in language and literacy instruction, you get a lot of useful insight into the issues people with dyslexia face and how to work with them. In some places I would have liked a bit more cross-referencing to other methodological approaches.
Acquire knowledge — complete the practicum — work as a trainer
Content-wise a very well-built training with lots of case examples and a practical section. Very friendly, competent, and above all fast handling of every inquiry on ADA's side — thank you.
Certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer course
A friend pointed me to the association. I also work as an occupational therapist. During my therapeutic work I noticed that working on perception led to improvements in school-related partial-performance weaknesses. I started my training in 2010 and finished with excellent results. This was possible thanks to clearly structured modules, recommended literature, and ADA's support. Since then I've been working successfully according to the AFS method.
Good support
Good material, quick and easy communication, and always a sympathetic ear. Wonderful!
Certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer course
Alongside my work as a learning coach, I found these additional certifications as a dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer at the time very important. First I completed the dyslexia trainer program and right afterwards the dyscalculia one. For me the dyslexia program was so interesting that I finished it in the shortest possible time. The same happened with the dyscalculia program. I was especially motivated back then by Dr. Kopp-Duller, who returned my submitted modules with a note like "excellent work". That spurred me on to do even better on the next module's exam. All in all, since graduating as a certified dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer, I work almost exclusively in this field. I can really recommend this program!
