ADA — competent support

The program is manageable and conveys a lot of knowledge for the work that follows. The fact that the provider is in Austria and I live in Germany is no obstacle at all. During my practicum, questions came up about a child with a learning disability, which I sent to the ADA by email. A prompt and professional response followed, along with what is for me a forever-valid sentence: "It's always an advantage to at least try to help a child!" I now support a child with a learning disability at my learning studio where it isn't clearly visible whether there is dyslexia/LRS. But I help this child using the knowledge I gained during my training! When I had a delivery issue with an ADA shop order, it was solved easily and quickly. Through countless worksheets and information for daily practice, the subscription keeps you up to date.

The program is also doable alongside your kids. As a trainer I've finally found my dream job. I would take this training again any time.

Review of the dyscalculia trainer certification

The certificate, both in theory and practice, laid the foundation for my current self-employed work as a dyscalculia trainer. Follow-up questions during my studies were answered thoroughly and quickly. The framework conditions also make it manageable time-wise. I chose ADA because the association certifies, operates internationally, and has been training dyslexia and dyscalculia specialists for over 20 years. Plus, only ADA has the AFS test and a wealth of services you can use after the program. The program met all my expectations completely.

Certificate program

When I had open questions I was helped very quickly. Overall, the program is also quite doable on your own. The materials are well structured and clearly written. The spelling and punctuation errors did throw me off in places, though. That should be revised. Otherwise top and highly recommendable!!!!

Dyslexia trainer / dyscalculia trainer certification

In the course of these two follow-up programs, it really is possible to earn both qualifications alongside work and family. Every graduate should be clear, though, that a time-intensive practical part is part of the deal!

Dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer certificate

I'm completely convinced and thrilled by this program! The required reading is clear and contains lots of interesting theoretical information plus helpful suggestions for practice. The program is enjoyable and very motivating, because the requirements are clearly stated and you immediately get feedback — for example whether you passed a module or what your payment status is. I also really like the worksheets and games provided for the kids you're training. An absolute highlight for me was the annual professional conference in Salzburg, where students and graduates are invited. It was a pleasure to meet my study mentor Dr. Astrid Kopp-Duller in person and to hear her talk along with talks by other top-class speakers on dyslexia and dyscalculia. Outside at the stands, specialist books and new learning materials were on offer. Great stuff and of course I bought some and took it home. I'm already looking forward to the 2018 conference too! Heartfelt thanks for this wonderful program!

Follow-up program: dyscalculia trainer

Like the first program, highly recommended. It really helps teachers, parents, and any other therapists. I always got very competent advice, no matter how many questions I asked. I felt very well looked after at all times. Thank you again for the wonderful support!!!!

Easy-to-understand materials, good support

I finished both courses within a year. The teaching material prepared me excellently for the exams, which were therefore also easy to pass. The two practical parts, however, were quite demanding — and that's a good thing. It really gives you the feeling that you have to put in real work to earn the diploma. Questions could always be asked by email, but for the practical part especially I would have wished for a bit more interaction and exchange with other learners. A webinar where I could interact with others or learn new things would have been very welcome. Who knows, maybe that will be considered at some point — it would suit a distance program well. ;-) I'd also like to highlight the positive: access to the AFS test, the support materials, and the distance-learning resources. Thank you!

Dyslexia and dyscalculia trainer certification

I completed both subjects together successfully. Of course you have to make time for it — but that's why you sign up in the first place. And honestly, it's all doable! There's a lot of new information that's truly exciting. It was a real joy, and whenever you need help, you get it. Top!
